Dying Hair for Internship + DYI Hair Nourishing Mask

My hair has never been as dried out and brittle as it is now. When I was around 13 or 14 I used to straighten it all the time and even then it wasn't as horrid as it is now. I think the real problem was this awful winter with temperatures below 0 most of the time. I also blow dried my hair (and it looked badass) a lot but caused a lot of problems. I also neglected trimming it for almost a year so now my consequences are hay-like hair.

On top of that, I've recently landed an internship (thank God) in Washington, D.C. Which is why I unfortunately had to get rid of the blue-green streaks in my hair. Which dried my hair out even more.

Of course the road back to full shiny curls as before will take several treatments and time but I'm going to show you a nourishing mask I've used that softens hair considerably, given the extent of the damage. All of the ingredients below were just eyeballed because I have a ton of hair. I used about half a cup for each oil, one banana, and three good squeezes of honey. I blended them all together and soaked my hair in it. Tied it up in a bun and put a plastic cap on my head. You can leave it on for as long as you like. I washed it out after about 2 hours.

- Coconut Oil
- Olive Oil
- Banana
- Honey

I hope this is somewhat helpful! Have an excellent day!
